Becky Parsons

Becky Parsons grew up in St. Petersburg and came to Tallahassee as an FSU student who “never went home”, making Tallahassee her adopted and permanently beloved home. She was raised in a family that valued civic duty and has always supported voting rights and issues of equity, fairness, and access. She has also always been passionate about our earth and environment. So when joining the LWV in 2022, the Natural Resource and Clean Energy committee was a good fit, and she serves as a co-chair of that committee.
Becky’s career was in the financial services field, culminating in twenty-eight years with Envision Credit Union as Senior Vice President. After retirement, she served seven years on the Sustainable Tallahassee Board of Directors, which was involved in initiatives to engage Leon County, the City of Tallahassee, and the public, by promoting adoption of sustainability measures in energy conservation and solar, clean water, local food, and energy-saving transportation.
Her career and board experience have given her a foundation in board governance and the roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities board members have for the success and succession of the organization. She is honored to join our local League board members who all have impressive backgrounds and bring strong experience and the commitment that makes our League one of the strongest in Florida.
