ADOPT-A-
PRECINCT

Adopt-A-Precinct

What is it?

League members volunteer to serve as poll workers in election years and donate their earnings from this work to the League. Members ask to work together at a polling place and adopt the precinct. Volunteers are needed for both primary and general elections.

What are the requirements?

Volunteers must attend a three hour training session for poll workers presented each election cycle by the Leon County Supervisor of Elections Office. On election days workers are at their assigned polling place by 6:00 a.m. and stay about thirty minutes after the polls close at 7:00 p.m.
