Dr. Donna Austin
Dr. Donna Austin is a retired school counselor, a widow, the proud mother of two wonderful sons, and an active Tallahassee Leaguer.
Donna influenced the landscape of public-school education for over 25 years. She holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, a Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida A&M University. Systems she developed enhance the learning process for students to achieve academic and personal excellence.
Currently, Donna serves as the CEO/Director of Communications and Special Programs of Croire Consulting Group. Croire specializes in delivering evidence-based solutions to facilitate family engagement in culturally relevant programs and practices that effectively close the achievement gap. Her unique gifts and talents enable her to deliver captivating and motivating messages. Her wisdom, humor, unique life experiences, and down-to-earth speaking style exemplifies a passion for all.
Perceived concerns related to policies and laws affecting equity in education led Donna to the League of Women Voters. She is an active member of the Education Committee and joined the Tallahassee League Board in 2020. As a Board Member, Donna is committed to educating and empowering citizens to become informed voters.
