Ayasha Scott

Ayasha believes voting is the declaration of our democracy and a commitment to our community. This was instilled in her as a child growing up in Miami, Florida, by her grandmother, a community activist, and her mother, the founder of New Vision Gospel Community Choir, a nonprofit organization for at-risk youth to elevate them above their circumstances through music.

This lifelong commitment to creating opportunities for individuals to thrive led to her pharmacy and insurance careers. For nearly 23 years, Ayasha worked tirelessly in Walgreens store operations, facilitation, community engagement and strategic management.  In 2021, she transitioned to the insurance industry. While Ayasha’s roles were varied, she stepped into each one with a singular purpose: to support the health and well-being of communities across the country.

This unwavering commitment to creating sustained opportunities for women and youth to grow and flourish is the foundation for Ayasha’s myriad civic and community work.  She serves as a Board member of New Vision Community Outreach NVGCC, Inc., and is also an active member of the National Council of Negro Women, American Cancer Society-Cancer Action Network, and the Tallahassee Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
