DOWNTOWN Marketplace

What do they do?

On Saturdays from March through November, the City of Tallahassee has a market in Ponce de Leon Park on Park Avenue.  It is open from 9 am - 2 pm, providing vendors with covered places to sell art, crafts, vegetables, food, etc.  They also provide space for non-profit orgs like LWVT.

League volunteers are needed to staff the booth, doing voter registration and education.

How much time do I need to contribute?

It is entirely up to you!  A schedule is sent at the beginning of each month, March through November via email, so you may contact the Coordinator to volunteer as often as you wish.

You may stay at the Market as long as you want.  Most volunteers do 3 hours in the morning.

The League presence in a public arena like this is very important to our goals of voter education and

issue advocacy.

Yes, I want to get involved!  Who do I contact?
