LWV MISSION
To promote political responsibility through informed and active participation of citizens
in government and to act on selected governmental issues.

WAYS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE: PARTICIPATING IN THE LEAGUE
LOCAL OPPORTUNITIES

* Attend Hot Topics and Holiday Luncheon in Dec.
* Read your Voter
* Vote at the Annual Meeting in May
* Respond to Action Alerts (call your elected representatives)
* Donate to LWV Education Fund and Lobby Fund
* Work a Saturday Market (Organize volunteers for Sat. Mkts)
* Join ongoing study groups with evening meetings:
         Local Government Committee
         Health Care Committee
         Education Committee
* Contribute to our Program for Action, developed and adopted annually
* Serve on the LWVT Board of Directors
* Be a poll worker (and donate your earnings to LWV)
* Assist in Voter Service work:
       Bandwagon hosting
       Candidate Forum hosting
       Voter Guide Committee
* Serve on Lobby Corps (to assist State League lobbying at the legislature)
* Contribute to the Voter newsletter and/or Website
* Volunteer for Kids Voting
* Observe an election audit, a city or county commission meeting
* Participate in a one-two year study:
       current LWVF study: Transportation
* Nominate new officers and board members
* Review treasurer reports
* Help fundraising

* Be a delegate to State Convention or State Council (in alternate years respectively)
* Attend Legislative Seminar in Tallahassee
* Serve on the State Board; Serve Off-Board for example, as chair of a policy issue
